The route changes upon leaving Beaconsfield where it decends Windsor Hill to Wooburn Green before the steep climb of Wash Hill back to Hedsor. It then follows the lanes through Taplow to come down through Eton Wick to Eton and the cafe (31 miles). After retracing the route through Taplow you drop down to the river at Cookham and climb Winter Hill on the way across to Marlow. There are then climbs to Frieth and from Fingest up towards Studley Green on the way to West Wycombe. Heading out of West Wycombe in the direction of Bledlow Ridge you head down past Saunderton Station before the final climb up to Lacey Green. After that it's downhill all the way to Great Missenden (68 miles).

To explore this route further go to http://www.mapmyride.com/ride/united-kingdom/great-missenden/306677726 or download RideToWindsorTheHardWay.kml and open with Google Earth

Windsor Ride

This is the short and reasonably flat ride from Great Missenden to Windsor and back.

The route runs as a figure of eight starting out from Missenden on the A413 towards Amersham and then continuing to Chalfont St Giles where you turn towards Beaconsfield.
